A Socially Distanced Medium, Socially Connected Stories
One School, One Story has always embraced all mediums of storytelling. For instance, the year we listened to the podcast, Serial, was one of our most successful years ever. A podcast allows us to be in the story, hearing the voices of real people with real emotions.
This year a podcast seems even more imperative. It allows us to easily distribute stories, even when we cannot physically hand out books.

We are happy to announce that for Summer 2020, as a school community, we are going to listen to high-school themed episodes of This American Life. This American Life is the OG of podcasts. They have been on-air since 1995, and recently won a Pulitzer Prize.
Seven separate episodes, all about different aspects of the High School experience, together tell the story of American High School. Prom across the country, what it means to be a poor vs. a rich school, even the fear we all have of school shootings, nothing is off limits.
